Product Safety Alert – Holiday Gift Daily #70

Traditionally, the end of the year is a time of conviviality and togetherness. Giving presents is an undeniable part of this. But what should you pay attention to when it comes to the safety of these presents? There are still many unsafe products on offer. You do not want your loved ones to be hurt.

Beach Toys Set

Today we draw your attention to a plastic sandbox set that can cause a choking hazard to small children. The colorful set is made of plastic with the model number PP6 has a barcode with number 6998880101310. It contains a dumper, tools and toy marine animals. The set comes in a plastic mesh. The notifying country is the EU member state of Hungary where the beach toy set was confiscated.

The toy contains small elements (crab, fish, shells) that a child may put in the mouth and choke. The product does not comply with the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

This product was withdrawn from the market and we advise consumers that have already purchased this product to cease using it and contact the dealer or the retailer where it was bought.
