Product Safety Alert Holiday Gift Daily #64

Product Safety Alert – Holiday Gift Daily #64

Traditionally, the end of the year is a time of conviviality and togetherness. Giving presents is an undeniable part of this. But what should you pay attention to when it comes to the safety of these presents? There are still many unsafe products on offer. You do not want your loved-ones to be hurt.

Genesis Radon 200 Gaming Headset

Today we draw your attention to a gaming headset from Genesis Radon. A black and red gaming headset including a microphone. As seen on the photograph below the headset is packaged in a dark grey cardboard box with red details. The batch number is 1412202502273 and barcode is 5901969417890. The product was also sold online. The notifying country is the EU member state of Sweden.

The plastic material of the ear cushions contains an excessive amount of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value up to 10.9% by weight). This phthalate may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to their reproductive system. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.

This headset was withdrawn from the market and we advice consumers that have already purchased this product to cease using it and contact the dealer or retailer where it was bought.
