Product Safety Alert Holiday Gift Daily #45

Product Safety Alert – Holiday Gift Daily #45

Traditionally, the end of the year is a time of conviviality and togetherness. Giving presents is an undeniable part of this. But what should you pay attention to when it comes to the safety of these presents? There are still many unsafe products on offer. You do not want your loved-ones to be hurt.

Toy Slime

Today we draw your attention to a red cup with toy slime that is packaged in plastic. This product was recognized as hazardous by the Polish Authorities. It is sold under the brand name 'Masa galaktyczna w beczce'.

The migration of boron from the toy slime is too high (measured value up to 721.08 mg/kg). Ingestion or contact with an excessive quantity of boron may harm the health of children by damaging the reproductive system. The product does not comply with requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-3.

The toy slime is withdrawn from the market and we advice consumers that have already purchased this product to stop using it and contact the dealer where it was bought.
