Product Safety Alert Holiday Gift Daily #43

Product Safety Alert – Holiday Gift Daily #43

Traditionally, the end of the year is a time of conviviality and togetherness. Giving presents is an undeniable part of this. But what should you pay attention to when it comes to the safety of these presents? There are still many unsafe products on offer. You do not want your loved-ones to be hurt.

Yellow and orange plush duck

Today we draw your attention to a yellow and orange coloured plush duck. This product came to the attention of the authorities in the EU member state of Croatia. The height is 25 cm. and it has model number MRT-180.

The fibrous stuffing material of the toy is easily accessible due to the weakness of certain seams. A small child may put the stuffing material in the mouth and choke.
The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

The plush duck was rejected from import at the border and we advice consumers that have already purchased this product to stop using it and contact the dealer where it was bought.
