We are here to keep you up to date on the latest developments in product safety. We monitor closely products that are being withdrawn from the market because of included hazardous parts. On the other hand, we provide information on details you should look out for when purchasing products that are still available.
Toy Slime — Ancient Bomb Slime
Today we draw your attention to Ancient Bomb Slime which comes in a bomb-shaped container and it is packaged a cardboard box.
There is a serious hazard of chemical nature. The migration of boron from the toy slime is too high (measured value up to 3708,38 mg/kg). Ingestion or contact with an excessive quantity of boron may harm the health of children by damaging the reproductive system. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-3. The item was found in Poland and it is withdrawn from the market.
We advice consumers that already have this product to cease using it and contact the retailer where it was purchased.
