What is a Product Recall?
Product recalls effectively means that goods need to be returned to the sale point for a complete refund or modification. In general this is due to a defective product or safety concerns. But it can also be about design defects or labelling errors. Generally speaking, companies recall products when defects seem to have safety concerns for customers and affect large number of customers. Otherwise normal warranty procedures are adequate as part of standard marketing practice.
Recalls are governed by consumer protection laws of a country which have specific requirements that cover the extent of cost the manufacturer will have to bear in which a recall is compulsory (and penalties in case of failure to recall). Announcements may be released on the respective government agency’s website. The consumer is requested to return goods, irrespective of condition, to the selling point for a full refund or modification.

Medical device product recalls, alert and field modification notices are published periodically by governmental agencies, subscriber services and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
This is just just some general product safety information about about toys and their hazards that you need to be aware of. With our Holiday-Presents Daily we will continue to follow the news on Product Safety and we will continue to keep you informed.
